PurThread Technologies, inventor of embedded silver antimicrobial fibers and yarns, presents studies, exhibits at APIC Annual Conference 2015

What: PurThread Technologies (www.purthread.com), a North Carolina-based textile technologies company and manufacturer of next-generation antimicrobial fiber and yarn for healthcare applications, will be exhibiting at Booth 1334 at the APIC Annual Conference in Nashville, TN.
Additionally, two scientific studies confirming the efficacy of PurThread’s antimicrobial technology will be presented:
- The University of Arizona will present the results of a study conducted by professor and microbiologist Charles P. Gerba, PhD, entitled Evaluation of Silver Embedded Fabric in Commonly Used Bed Linens as an Antimicrobial
- PurThread Technologies will present the results of a study entitled The Persistence of Antimicrobial Effects in Fabrics and Garments Embedded with Silver after Home and Industrial Launderings
